Job Summary: The CNC Operator will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to cut, shape, and finish stone materials such as granite, marble, quartz, and other countertop surfaces. The ideal candidate will have experience working with CNC equipment in a stone fabrication environment, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC machines to cut and shape stone countertops according to specifications and blueprints.
Read and interpret technical drawings, templates, and work orders accurately.
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and precision.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
Measure finished products to verify compliance with quality standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members, including fabricators and installers, to ensure timely production.
Report any machine malfunctions or production issues to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a CNC Operator, preferably in stone fabrication or countertop cutting.
Familiarity with CNC programming and machine setup.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawing.
Strong attention to detail and precision.
Basic math skills and ability to measure materials accurately.
Knowledge of stone materials, cutting techniques, and finishing processes is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical stamina to handle heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
