We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to support the training and refinement of AI systems focused on accounting, audit, and financial compliance workflows. This is a unique opportunity to combine accounting expertise with cutting-edge artificial intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring practical accounting experience along with the ability to interpret, validate, and structure financial knowledge for machine learning applications. 

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI researchers, data scientists, and product teams to train and fine-tune AI models for accounting use cases.
  

• Review, validate, and annotate financial data, accounting scenarios, and audit-related outputs generated by AI systems.
  

• Translate complex accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS where applicable) into structured inputs for model training.
  

• Design and evaluate prompts, datasets, and workflows to improve AI accuracy in areas such as financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit procedures.
  

• Provide domain expertise in bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and regulatory compliance.
  

• Identify gaps or inconsistencies in AI-generated outputs and recommend improvements.
  

• Contribute to the development of best practices for AI-driven accounting solutions.
  

• Stay current with evolving accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry practices to ensure training relevance.
  

Required Qualifications

• Active CPA license in the United States.
  

• 2–8 years of professional experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, audit, or tax.
  

• Strong understanding of US GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
  

• Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements, audits, or tax filings.
  

• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  

• Ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate it clearly.
  

• Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.
  

• Basic familiarity with AI tools, automation, or data annotation workflows is preferred but not required.
  

Preferred Skills

• Prior exposure to AI/ML projects, data labeling, or prompt engineering.
  

• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
  

• Understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, and audit methodologies.
  

• Strong written communication skills for documenting financial logic and model feedback.
  

• Ability to work independently and manage part-time commitments effectively.
