The Performance Nutrition Executive Chef is a culinary leader who is passionate about fueling student athletes for peak performance, recovery, and long-term health. An excellent communicator and collaborator, the ideal candidate will thrive both independently and within a multidisciplinary team that includes coaches, dietitians, and performance staff. This role combines culinary expertise with nutrition strategies to deliver the coolest job in sports: creating food that drives wins on and off the field.
Position Focus and Priorities
• Builds and fosters leadership influence across service team, culinary, nutrition, and athletic performance teams.
• Approachable, trustworthy, and principled; delivers on promises to our team, athletes, and partners.
• Manages and develops culinary talent with a focus on nutrition-forward, feedback driven cooking.
• Influences change by integrating performance nutrition into daily operations.
• Designs and implements operational efficiency plans that align with athlete fueling needs.
• Highly organized planner who balances menu innovation with nutritional standards. Core Competencies Strategic Execution – Fueling Performance
• Proactively understands the nutritional needs of student athletes and plans menus to optimize energy, recovery, and hydration.
• Manages multiple projects including training table meals, travel menus, and special event fueling
• Develops and implements consistent culinary and nutrition standards.
• Drives solutions that impact athlete performance, guest experience, and operational efficiency.
• Serves as a field expert in performance nutrition and culinary execution. Team Influencer –Developing Winning Teams
• Identifies and develops culinary talent with a focus on nutrition education and athlete-centered cooking.
• Mentors and coaches staff to integrate nutrition principles into menu planning and preparation.
