Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $30.32 - $39.42 / hour
The Grant Administrator (GA) will join a growing and dynamic Division within a large healthcare system. The Division is composed of Physicians, Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychotherapists, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, and administrative staff. The GA will manage all aspects of pre-award and post-award grants management. In this role they will be responsible for identifying grant opportunities, preparing the grant for submission, and grant management. Additionally, this position will be responsible for tracking and maintaining all necessary data related to the Grants. The Division is targeting state, federal and private funding agencies. Projects in community mental health, healthcare delivery systems, and translational neuroscience currently dovetail with the strengths of the faculty. An in-depth understanding of grant administration and good organizational skills are required to work collaboratively with clinical, scientific community, and financial stakeholders. The individual will bring a deep understanding of the behavioral health landscape, including mental health, substance use disorders, and integrated care models.
Education: Bachelors degree in social work, public health, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field required. Masters degree in a related field (MSW, MPH, MPA, or equivalent) preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional grant writing experience, with a demonstrated track record of successful awards required. Strong knowledge of behavioral science, mental health, and/or substance use disorder systems and terminology required. Experience with federal grant applications (SAMHSA, HRSA, HHS, HUD) and federal reporting requirements preferred. Familiarity with Medicaid, managed care, and value-based contracting in behavioral health preferred.
Certification: Grant Professional Certified (GPC) credential or similar professional certification preferred.
License: N/A
Other: Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to write clearly and persuasively for diverse audiences required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and grants management software or databases required. Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously required. Bilingual/multilingual skills are a plus. This position is primarily office-based with the option for hybrid remote work following the initial onboarding period. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet grant deadlines.
