A Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse is a registered nurse who provides specialized care to expectant mothers before, during and immediately after childbirth, as well as care for newborns.
Key duties include monitoring fetal heart rates, managing contractions, assisting physicians with deliveries or C-sections, and providing postpartum care.
• Current license to practice professional nursing issued by the State of Pennsylvania
• Current CPR
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (upon completion of orientation)
• STABLE Program (within 6 months of hire)
• Cardiac Advanced Life Support Program (within 6 months of hire)
• Basic Arrhythmia Course (upon completion of orientation)
Fetal Monitoring Competency (upon completion of orientation)
