Title : Legal Assistant
Salary Range : Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Location : Oklahoma City, OK
The Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General is currently seeking a full-time Legal Assistant for our Litigation Unit.
Position Summary:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, providing legal assistance to multiple attorneys with the preparation and management of pleadings, briefs, exhibits, correspondence, discovery, and other court filings.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of both ECF and traditional state and federal filing procedures and rules is required; 10th Circuit filing procedures and rules are a plus.
Applicant must be detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills; excellent spelling and grammar skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Must have the ability to prepare a variety of complex pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence, including Tables of Contents and Authorities and Indexing, as well as the ability to prioritize workflow and address new priorities as they arise.
Heavy litigation experience is preferred, including but not limited to motion practice; trial preparation; summarizing depositions; organizing, reviewing, and redacting discovery; and managing each attorney’s caseload.
