Job Description

Job title: Nail Technician Assistant (Entry-Level)

Reports to: Owner/General Manager

Weekly Schedule: Monday-Friday or Wednesday-Sunday (Five days a week)

Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM

This is an entry-level position and is ideal for someone interested in learning about the nail care industry. No prior nail experience is required, and training will be provided. The role focuses primarily on preparation, sanitation, and operational support, with limited direct customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:**

  • Support Nail Technicians:
  • Assist licensed nail technicians by setting up and breaking down workstations, organizing tools, and helping services run smoothly.
  • Cleaning & Sanitation:
  • Clean and sanitize tools, equipment, and work areas according to health and safety guidelines; help maintain a neat and hygienic studio.
  • Client Preparation (Minimal Interaction):
  • Greet and help prepare clients for services when needed (such as seating or setup), while keeping customer communication limited and professional.
  • Supplies & Inventory:
  • Help restock products, towels, and supplies; alert supervisors when items are running low.
  • Daily Studio Support:
  • Assist with laundry, organization, and general upkeep to ensure the studio operates efficiently.
  • Team Support:
  • Work cooperatively with technicians and staff and follow guidance from supervisors.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned to support daily operations and business needs.

Skills and Qualifications:**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • No prior nail or beauty experience required (training provided).
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
  • Ability to stay organized and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
  • Comfortable in a support role with limited customer interaction.

Other:

Employer pays in advance or reimburses workers in the first workweek for all government-mandated and

visa-related fees (excluding passport fee). For non-local workers (i.e., residing outside normal commuting

distance), the employer reimburses inbound travel costs at the 50% point in the contract (unless paid in

advance). Inbound travel includes transportation costs from workers' permanent residence or place of

recruitment, a daily meal subsistence (based on rates required by law, currently $16.28 per day minimum or

$68.00 per day maximum for workers with acceptable receipts), and reasonab le l odging costs, if applicable.

Travel reimbursements based on the least-cost common carrier rate. Employer provides or pays outbound

travel costs upon completion of the contract period or early dismissal, except where the worker has

subsequent employment.

Employer guarantees offer hours equal to at least three-fourth of the workdays in each 12-week period of

the total contract period, beginning the worker's first workday and ending on the contract end date or any

extension thereof. Employer may count all hours worked, as well as any hours offered within the standard

work schedule that a worker chooses not to work, up to the maximum number of daily hours on the job

order. Workers who voluntarily abandon employment are not entitled to payment for outbound travel costs

or the full three-fourth period guarantee described above. Employer provides without any charge all tools,

supplies, and equipment necessary to perform duties assigned.

Housing:

The Company will assist workers who are not reasonably able to return to their residence within the same day in securing board, lodging, or other facilities. Workers are informed that housing is strictly voluntary/optional and may elect to provide their own housing prior to starting a work. Housing secured with the employer's assistance is not free of charge and employees must pay rent. The estimated rent is approximately $850.00 per worker per month.
