Overview:

The Sports Production Manager for Combat Sports will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of remote sports production activities including pre-production planning and on site execution. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of MMA and Boxing, particularly UFC and Zuffa. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of live remote sports-related broadcasts and events, especially for CBS Sports HQ and YouTube. Ensuring that production assignments are completed on time, are within budgetary guidelines and are of the highest quality standards are primary functions of this role. This position requires a deep understanding of sports production, excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced remote work environment. This position requires extensive travel to locations across the US.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and coordinating all aspects of production including budgeting, site surveying, scheduling and hiring freelance crew members if necessary

• Communicating with on-air talent, producers, directors and other members of the production team to ensure all aspects of production are on track and everyone is working together

• Effectively managing the day-to-day operations of the remote productions including overseeing rehearsals, set design, lighting and sound

• Ensuring the productions are produced with the highest production quality within the allocated budget and all expenses are accounted for

• Ensuring that all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and all production equipment is properly maintained

• Coordinate with marketing and publicity teams to ensure the program is effectively promoted to audiences

• Ensuring that all legal and company requirements are met and the program is produced in compliance with CBS Sports standards and within compliance with all relevant regulations

• Keeping up to date with the latest developments and advancements in television technology and techniques

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in television production, film studies or a related field

• 7+ years of experience with 2+ years of management experience.

• Excellent organization and communication skills as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Comprehensive understanding of television production and be able to work effectively with a range of different people and experience levels including anchors and producers as well as technical crew members and executives.

CBS Sports Digital's multi-platform offerings include CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports apps for mobile and connected TV devices; the 24/7 streaming sports news network CBS Sports HQ; 247Sports; MaxPreps; CBS Sports fantasy games; and SportsLine.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $85,000.00 - 105,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.This position is bonus eligible.
